Changes at the Chamber

The word change always seems to carry a negative feeling with it. Or maybe it is just fear of change. But there are many times when change can have positive results. Over the past couple of weeks, the Chamber has and is dealing with many changes. Here are some of them:

Fred Ramquist Resigns

I received a call from Fred Ramquist, Plant Leader with Owens Corning in Newark and a Board Member, telling me that he is being transferred to South Carolina and had to resign from our Board of Directors. I enjoyed working with Fred and will miss his leadership on our Manufacturer's Council. He was the Chairman of that group. I wish him and his wife well as they move south. This means that there is a vacancy on our Board and on the MFG Council. The good news is that Steve Cohen, President of Screen Machine Industries, has agreed to step up and Chair the Manufacturer's Council. He will do a great job. Our Nominating Committee will soon begin the process of filling the board vacancy.

Welcome Aboard to Tom Cummiskey and Patrick Guanciale

The Chamber began its new fiscal year September 1st with the addition of two new Board Members. Tom Cummiskey, with Park National Bank, and Patrick Guanciale, with Coldwell Banker King Thompson. Patrick is a past Board Member and Chairman of the Chamber and has graciously returned. Although Tom is new to the Chamber Board, we initiated him early and gave him an extra assignment - Treasurer. Thank you Tom and Patrick for your continued support of the Licking County Chamber.

E-Calendar to Make Its Debut

Jennifer McDonald, our Communications and Marketing Director, has been hard at work designing one of our newest member benefits - an E-Calendar. Look in your email next week for our October debut. This E-Calendar will have all of our events for the month listed as well as community events. For a $25 fee, you can have your event listed with a link to your website. Space is limited. We are also offering monthly sponsorships for $100. Included with your logo and link, one event will be listed on the calendar. This calendar will reach over 2,000 business men and women. Beginning in October, our members will have an opportunity to advertise on our website using Banner Ads. We have been working on this project for some time and are excited to add this member benefit to our list. There are several different packages to choose from ranging from $20 - $60 per month.
