The Invitation Has Been Issued

Received a call a few minutes ago from my husband who said you need to go to WNCI and listen to the new song about Newark. So I did. (I'll give you the link in a minute)

After listening to the song, I thought it was only appropriate for me to invite them over to our Groundhog Breakfast, where of course we eat groundhog for breakfast, as most rednecks do, don't you think?

So Dave and Jimmy - put your money where your mouth is and come on out to NEWARK and check us out for yourself!

Here is the link to the song:

If you can't load this song, just go to http://www.wnci.com/ and click on the new song called Newark.

Are we getting more famous or notorious? Whatever, just so they pronounce it clearly and correctly. Great promotion for us and I'm glad you picked up on it and spread the word.

Not a true depiction of Newark. Like I needed to mention that. Very depressing song for me. I miss Newark and I have lived in more places around the county then most. Traveled around the world as well. I guess some people only see what they want to see.

This is what happens when someone jumps in the car, takes a “drive” and checks out an area for five minutes. Suddenly their the historians of Newark. Thing is, people like this say what they want and run. They would never face the very people they talk poorly of and that’s the funny part of this story.

No they haven't. Doubt they will.
