How To Get Started in the Oil & Gas Industry

C-TEC and COTC have joined forces to create a training program for individuals looking to enter the Oil and Gas industry in Ohio.

Coursework will offer a variety of opportunities for those aspiring to be welders, well tenders, machinists and diesel mechanics which will be in high demand in this industry.  There will be courses offered in the following areas:
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Surveying
  • Electric Motors
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Civil Engineering Technology
  • Site Engineering
  • Asphalt and Concrete
  • Construction Materials
  • Instrumentation
You can begin with a certificate and advance through an associate degree in Engineering Technology. 

C-TEC and COTC are hosing some orientation meetings at the following places:

April 19, 1:00 p.m. COTC - The John Gilbert Reese Center

April 26, 1:00 p.m. C-TEC - Adult Education Conference Center

May 5, 9:00 a.m. C-TEC - Adult Education Conference Center

May 8, 6:00 p.m. COTC - The John Gilbert Reese Center
