ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

DIRECTOR

The Licking County Chamber of Commerce is in search of an accomplished and highly motivated professional to build, implement and advance the economic agenda developed by Grow Licking County Community Improvement Corporation.  The director shall also provide strategic vision and leadership and help to implement an economic development business plan, focusing on job creation throughout the entire county.  This will require efforts in company recruitment as well as retention and expansion of existing businesses.  The successful candidate shall have excellent communication skills and capabilities.  Marketing knowledge and experience is a plus.

At a minimum, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in economics, real estate finance, business or public administration.  Preference will be afforded to those with a Master’s degree in appropriate field and/or Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) status.  Ideal candidates shall further possess acquired supervisory experience and bring a minimum of four years of professional experience in economic or business development.

Job Opening

The Licking County Chamber of Commerce is seeking an experienced, professional and highly motivated sales representative to help us grow our current membership. 

Compensation includes a competitive and lucrative uncapped commission and residual plan.

Candidate must have at least three years previous sales experience with proven results and the ability to build and deliver presentations.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

This position will require travel within Licking County.  Any candidate seeking this position must have a clean driving record, proof of insurance, and must provide his or her own vehicle for travel.
