I came across this paragraph today regarding responsibility and what it means to society:
A society thrives when people live up to their responsibilities. Families function more peacefully, students learn more from what they're taught, businesses are more productive, and government more often makes decisions based on the good of the people than for personal gain.
It is so true that in business, if everyone does what they say they will and are responsible, productivity is at its highest. For me, having a productive day always generates positive energy and I wake up the next day in such a great mood. But my favorite part in the above paragraph is about the government doing what is "good for the people than for personal gain".
How refreshing.
