- Finalizing the "Next Steps" with Community Capitalism. Look for detailed information later today.
- Plans are underway for the 2009 Wage & Benefit Survey. Everyone who participates will receive the report FREE. Look for more information in early April.
- A special meeting of the membership will be held in early March to adopt the amended Code of Regulations for the Chamber. Look for detailed information later in the week on the News page of the Chamber's website.
- The Chamber will hold a Membership Drive on March 17 & 18 from 10:00 a.m. to noon each day. If you would like to participate, please let me know. We are only asking participants to call people they know - there will be no cold calling. This is a great way to support your Chamber.
Affiliate Updates
- Safety Council January attendance was 185 and the topic was Making the Workplace Safe, presented by Paddy Kutz. Next meeting is today and will focus on the Three Types of Stress and how it affects your work, presented by Dr. Gregg Mantonya.
- HRMA (Human Resource Management Association) - January topic was ADA Amendment, presented by Jonathan Downes. Next meeting is February 19th and the program is What is Available to Employers, by Donna Carpenter and Rodney Newell.
- Manufacturer's Council held its February meeting last week at C-TEC. A presentation on the Green Effort was made along with a tour of the Manufacturing Labs. See my previous post here. March meeting will be hosted by Polymer Technologies at the Chamber.
- Workenomics - This is a new affiliate of the Chamber. It is a partnership between Workforce Development and Economic Development professionals in Licking County.
