Important Information for the May 6, 2014 Primary Election

In a previous post on endorsements, you read that the Licking County Chamber of Commerce endorsed State Issue 1 and a bond levy for Southwest Licking Local Schools.  I wanted to share some additional information with you regarding the issues/candidates you will see on the May 6th ballot.

First, the Ohio Chamber just issued an endorsement for Scott Ryan running for State Representative in the primary for House District 71.  Here is what their endorsement stated:

We are less than two weeks away from the May 6 primary, and we need your help! The Ohio Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee has endorsed Licking County Treasurer Scott Ryan in the Republican primary for House District 71, which includes western Licking County. His 25 years of experience as a small business owner makes him the pro-growth, pro-jobs choice. With your vote, we can send him to the Statehouse where he can advocate for Ohio's employers. For more information on his campaign, please visit his campaign website

Regarding State Issue 1, you can find the ballot language, explanation, arguments for and against the issue and the full text of the issue by going to the Ohio Secretary of State's website at www.OhioSecretaryofState.gov or click here.

Most importantly, if you haven't already voted, please remember to vote on May 6th.  If you need help locating your polling location or to check your registration, click here.
